About 120 people from the Senior Club Albujón performed a tribute to the council of the Municipal People's Party, Antonio Calderon and Nicholas Angel Bernal, last Wednesday, June 24, to thank them for their work over the years have been in the Municipal Government City of Cartagena.

Remarkably, the elders have been one of the cornerstones of popular policies, through an extensive program of activities with the aim of improving their quality of life and welfare.

The president of the Senior Club Albujón Jose Hernandez Galián, praised the work done and aid they have received over the years through grants, handicraft workshops, ... and above all, the commitment made by the Popular Party with the construction of new premises of older people in the Albujón.

In this regard, the governments of the People's Party have worked to ensure care for the elderly, ensuring the maintenance of its independence, being able to live at home in the best possible conditions.

Among the measures carried out, highlighting the municipal home care services, which have been increasing their performance in recent years, and where it has developed programs such as home help service, Telecare, meal delivery and respite family, programs that have benefited in the past year more than 1,200 seniors with an annual budget of over one million seven hundred thousand euros.

In addition, the Popular Party has maintained every year its commitment to the 42 major associations and clubs of the municipality Federation, working in support of socio-cultural activities and maintenance facilities throughout the rent, water light, with an annual budget of about 90,000 euros. "
