The best scientific projects 2015 Engineering Campus of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) created by students of Primary CEIP San Isidro, Los Belones and secondary students from IES Pedro Peñalver, El Algar, have been winners of the awards "C @ ming UPCT" held this morning.
In the event, the center directors have highlighted the informative work that plays Engineering Campus among young declaring, in turn, "the importance of these activities for teachers, who continue to develop the scientific method and never stop learn ".
The first edition of the awards "C @ ming UPCT" wanted to reward the two studies that have shown how to apply the principles of science most appropriate way to science.
The award for best project went to the primary CEIP San Isidro, Los Belones, with "investigated on hydraulics and electricity."
In the workshop, students used the Pascal principle in the construction of objects and machines that are useful in daily life.
In this way they helped the visitors to know the operation of fluid mechanics, operation of an electric circuit, and make different objects with simple electrical circuits can be practical in their school learning.
The award, presented by the Director of Communication of Navantia, José Andrés Elgarresta, is a trip to Malaga to meet interactive science center Principia.
Moreover, the IES Pedro Peñalver, El Algar, was the winner of the secondary with "Science clearly a workshop explaining the laws related to luminous phenomena in everyday life situations commemorating turn with he, the International Year of Light. The students designed trials to illustrate the reflection, refraction, polarization, dispersion, imaging (camera obscura, lenses), light emission (atomic spectra, fluorescence or phosphorescence among others. During the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of Economic and Strategic Planning, Emilio Trigueros, presented the "Campus of Engineering 2014" report, which includes experiments, workshops and exhibitions were held on the campus of Engineering 2014.
Trigueros thanked the participation and involvement of the Centre for Language and Communication of the Region of Murcia and the companies participating in the event.
