The campaign to collect products that have been developed over the weekend at the grocery store El Corte Ingles has achieved a high turnout, which proves once again the solidarity of Cartagena
I Solidarity Campaign to collect personal hygiene products promoted by the NGOs involved, the local police, with the cooperation of the municipality, has raised a total of 26 cars of these products, which will go to the nursing home of Sisters of the Poor of Cartagena.
Cartagena who have come this weekend to supermarket El Corte English, have shown, once again, their spirit of solidarity, donating products such as toilet paper, cologne, shampoo, gel, toothpaste or deodorant.
The campaign was launched on Friday in a ceremony attended by the Councillor for Social Care functions, Antonio Calderon, director of the local police, Manuel Asensio, and the president of that NGO, Mario Macián, along with leaders of El Corte English and sisters of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Since 2010, the NGOs involved, composed of agents of the local police in Cartagena, works in solidarity with the aim of improving the quality of life of the neediest projects.
