Mandarache Prize aims to thousands of people simultaneously reading Wednesday 3 June, from 12.00 to 12,15h, and has therefore launched collective action #MandaracheBookmob reading will take place in two official points, Plaza John XIII in Cartagena and Madrid Book Fair (next to the tent of activities), which also contributes to the activity.

Besides these two official points, other entities such as libraries, schools or libraries from different places can register as Ofical #MandaracheBookmob Point, among them the National Library of Spain adds to this call by inviting users to read on the steps Home and garden.

Like the BNE, dozens of organizations across Spain have embraced the idea with enthusiasm and are signing up as official points.

In Madrid for example the library of the Royal School of Dramatic Arts (ESSN), the Library of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Complutense University or the Virtual Center Leer.es.

Also local libraries and schools of Extremadura, Cadiz, Granada, Castilla La Mancha, are joining this celebration, as well as the Region of Murcia.

Mandarache Readers Training Project, promoted by the City of Cartagena and won the National Award for Promoting Reading in 2014, calls this event to celebrate its first ten years of life using its presentation in Madrid at the Book Fair June 3 as part of the reading experiences of good practice in the promotion of reading organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports days.

The #MANDARACHEBOOKMOB is a flashmob of readers, reading collective action in order to bring together thousands of readers reading in public spaces on the same day, same time, the June 3, 12 to 12,15h, in a simultaneous action in Madrid and Cartagena serve to manifest the power of readers and celebrate reading as a wonderful act of communication and in this case a symbolic exercise of active citizenship.
