Mandarache Prize, awarded the National Prize for the Promotion of Reading, presented June 3 in Madrid with an action of collective reading.
The day of Good Practices in the Promotion of Reading is organized by the Office for the Promotion of Books, Reading and Spanish Literature Ministry
Mandarache and Cartagena Hache Book awards have the highest literary jury of the country, more than 4,000 young people each year who choose the winners among six finalists.
Both awards make the call Mandarache Training Project Readers Cartagena, recently awarded the National Prize for the Promotion of Reading 2014 will be presented on Wednesday June 3 at the Book Fair of Madrid, in the framework of the conference Experiences readers of good practice in the promotion of reading organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
Building on the presentation of the project in Madrid, which will take place at 11.30 am in the pavilion of the fair activities, and following intense celebration of its 10th anniversary, the Prize Mandarache perform a collective action within the program reading official Book Fair.
It is l #MandaracheBookmob a flashmob of readers will take place on June 3, 2015 simultaneously in Madrid and Cartagena, and who have joined nearly 70 organizations across Spain. The purpose is to bring together thousands of readers reading in public spaces on the same day, same time, on June 3 d and 12 to 12,15h, in a simultaneous action that manifests the power to serve readers and reading celebration as a wonderful act of communication.
Training Project Mandarache Readers want and celebrate its ten years of life inviting readers who wish to participate to go outside, filling spaces, libraries, schools, etc.
The event will feature two main meeting points: the Book Fair of Madrid, next to the flag of activities in the Retiro, where they are invited readers who want to freely join this action;
and Plaza Juan XXIII in Cartagena.
Besides these two points, dozens of organizations across Spain have embraced the idea with enthusiasm and are signing up as official points of bookmob, inviting users to celebrate reading in public as an act of social participation and a symbolic exercise of citizenship active.
In Madrid, for example, the National Library of Spain, like the library of the Royal School of Dramatic Arts (ESSN), the Library of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Complutense University or the Virtual Center Leer.es.
Also local libraries and schools of Extremadura, Cadiz, Granada, Castilla La Mancha and Zaragoza are joining this celebration, as well as the Region of Murcia.
