On Sunday May 31, starting at 10 am, tear the festivities of La Puebla with the celebration of the VIII Day of the Potato, festival to the tuber which is organized by the Festival Committee of La Puebla, with the cooperation of farmers in the village and the city of Cartagena.
That little celebration that began a few years driven by a group of farmers to try to inform all residents of the region the qualities of potatoes are harvested in the Campo de Cartagena ago, and this year celebrates its eighth anniversary, and it will promote potato consumption is collected in our fields, fresher and higher quality.
The Day of the Potato, to which everyone is invited, will be studded with activities around the center of the party, which is none other than the potato, highlighting the exhibition Potatoes, potatoes direct sales to consumers, the throwing contest potatoes to the pot and tasting potato in all its forms (omelet, grilled and cooked).
After the Day of the Potato, the celebrations of the Cartagena city will continue Friday 5 to Sunday June 14, with enventos for all tastes and ages, with music, theater and dance, among other activities.
So, on Friday, June 5, in addition to the Day of Older Persons, the festive exhibition will open with the Coronation Gala 2015 and the Proclamation of the holidays, and Saturday 6, will take place the solemn procession of the Blessed Body of Christ.
On Monday, Day 8 will be housewives and Tuesday, 9 Day of the Child, children and great chocolate for smaller sites, while on Friday June 12 the Feast of the Sacred Heart will be held, with a mass and prociesión included.
The festivities end on the weekend of 13 and 14 June, with the celebration, on Saturday, the XXVI Pilgrimage of Santa Maria del Buen Aire. Romero Day, and Sunday, the Day of the Horse, as a continuation of the Pilgrimage which will close at twelve o'clock with a Grand fireworks finale.
