The fire originated in a plug |
Effective Service Firefighting and Rescue City of Cartagena, stifled past midnight the fire that occurred in a building housing the street Sapphire Private Mediterranean, whose residents were evacuated.
A 112 call on the 00:37 hours, firefighters alerted of the incident.
Upon arrival they found heavy smoke in the house, the first floor, and the fire concentrated in a room that was office and lounge to the kitchen.
After the blaze, they proceeded to ventilate the affected as well as the entire stairwell and some other dwellings in the building housing the occupants to evacuate, had left the doors open.
The origin of fire was in a plug to be heated, due to excessive energy demand, to be connected in the dryer circuit unsuitable for this purpose.
It plugs overheating caused the fire to spread to a chair beside this and a nearby curtain.
Thanks to the neighbors through the window beside the couch, were pulling water with a hose, we averted widespread fire, allowing the arrival of firefighters control the fire before it spread to the rest of housing.
Completed the mission, which lasted about 50 minutes, the owner of what happened and the local police to allow the neighbors to raise their houses were reported.
