Juan Carlos Ruiz underlines that tourism employment in the region takes 24 months of continuous growth

This strategy aims to attract new profiles in the area of ​​national and international visitors who may be users of the services they offer coastal municipalities throughout the year.
To that end, candidates are committed to developing the private sector with a menu of services that allows to launch immediately a joint offer of health tourism with existing resources to deliver in European markets a product of treatments and health services in coastal municipalities.
In parallel an analysis of needs and an investment program and help the private sector to increase the supply of health in number, variety and quality is performed.
The candidates share the 170 kilometers of the Mar Menor make it the largest racecourse in the world and are committed to chart common strategies to offer it as a single product for athletes and travelers attracted by water sports.
Candidates will have the Regional and Central governments for specific campaigns on these two products in the markets of Northern Europe.
The candidates have congratulated because municipalities that comprise the Mar Menor are 22 Blue Flags, one of the highest concentrations of quality beaches in Spain.
These distinctions are the result of good work done in recent years and will confirm the ability of these areas to become recipients of sun and sand tourists throughout the year.

For his part, Juan Carlos Ruiz recalled that tourism is one of the engines of the regional economy, generating wealth and employment.
In this regard, he stressed that "employment in the sector has been 24 months of continued growth" and that "the region reached a record high in the number of tourism employment for the month of April."
The Minister of Tourism reported about "the sector of hotels and travel agents hired in April to 36,181 workers in the region of Murcia. This represents an increase of 2.2 percent from March and an annual increase 4.8 percent, with 1,670 more workers than last year. "
Juan Carlos Ruiz also announced the start of the operation to bring Czech tourists with two operators in the country, which will allow more than 9,000 tourists from that nationality visiting Murcia during the spring and autumn of this year, staying in hotels in La Manga del Mar Menor.
