The First Trail Solidarity organized by the Foundation Shop Asylum San Pedro on the occasion of its 120th anniversary, and with the collaboration of the departments of Social Services and Sports City of Cartagena, it was a success, highlighting the performance of athletes Alberto Squares and Carmen Evangelista were winners in male and female categories respectively, with a time of 46 minutes and 38 seconds the first 57 minutes and 14 seconds the second.
Held Sunday, the 230 runners registered covered 10,700 meters of the course (two climbs Mount Calvary) in a festive atmosphere, which was highlighted by participants.
Such was the satisfaction of riders and organizers, the Foundation wants to repeat this event every year and leave it as an activity of awareness of many that makes this nonprofit organization that aims to promote social integration.
The awards ceremony, which was enlivened by a musical group, was chaired by the mayor of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, and the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, along with Francisco Martinez, Vice-Rector of the UPCT, and the President of Asylum Shop Foundation San Pedro, Nicol Muñoz.
