The youth association held tonight a symbolic act of lighting candles around Zulo sculpture to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the imprisonment of seven prisoners of conscience, leaders of the Baha'i community in Iran
Young Baha'is Youth Association, based in Cartagena, will commemorate the seventh anniversary of the detention and imprisonment of seven prisoners of conscience, leaders of the Baha'i community of Iran, who were responsible for meeting the social and administrative needs of the community.
To join the international solidarity campaign that travels the world from 14 to 20 May through social networks, locally, inviting on Friday night, to light a candle for prisoners of conscience, and in particular by these seven people known as the Yaran, light surrounding the figure of Zulo, Victor Ochoa sculpture located on the esplanade of the port, which depicts a man deprived of freedom.
This event will take place at 21:00 hours.
In him the desire of people of different faiths and backgrounds will express that in a spirit of friendship and fraternity will remember through songs and poems, prisoners of conscience or belief issues, and specifically to these seven people;
drawing back the veil of impunity as citizen watchdogs of human rights.
