Last week held the International Boxing Tournament in Wsell Guimbarda Pavilion in Cartagena.
From the 5th to the 9th of May, more than 160 athletes from 19 different countries, passed through the city to contest the championship.
The final, held last Saturday, May 9, left Spain in the best positions.
Spain has won four golds, two silvers and four bronzes in the tournament.
The Spanish team finished in style.
Among the winners, Murcia Sunday Medel and Juan Carlos Sanchez were in the under-22 category.
Spanish names who got metal in their respective categories are: Salvador Molina in 46-49 kilograms, Kelvin de la Nieve, 52 kilograms; Youba Sissohko, winning the final of 69 kg Alejandro Moya and females Jennifer Miranda, 60 kilograms.
A successful tournament, organizers, and already preparing the next.
Boxers, once this tournament preparation of Cartagena think of the European Olympic qualifier, will be next June in Azerbaijan.
