MC has participated this morning in a concentration of classic cars organized by the Club Seat 600 friends of Cartagena in the forecourt of Mandarache Mall, which brought together numerous antique cars and motorcycles.
The reason for this meeting was to try to get the total abolition of council tax provisions for vehicles of over twenty five years.
According to the candidate for mayor, Jose Lopez, "these old vehicles are part of our industrial and cultural heritage. Therefore, we ask that the municipal taxes they have to pay are abolished".
In this sense, Lopez has clarified: "do not see the need to put more difficulties this group, when we are the only municipality in the region that charges these rates"
And he ended by saying that "for mere pride of who governs us, many of the owners of these cars and bikes have to discard them because they are not profitable, or even have to enroll in another nearby town, like Fuente Alamo ".
