The winners of the XVIII edition were applauded by an audience that filled the auditorium of El Batel and was delighted with the performances of the tenor Aaron Jover with the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena and the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory with a program which took place the flamenco
Tortosa Francisco Sancho, percussion; Felicia Gomez Escudero, in Woodwind, Lazaro Millan Fernandez, Piano, Pedro Fernandez Millan, in String, Vicente Manuel Cascales Mogica in Brass, Miriam Martinez Silva, Canto, and Thomas Joseph Garcia Vazquez, on guitar, were the winners of the XVIII edition of the Regional Contest of Young Performers of Classical Music, between strings and brass, organized by the Department of Youth and the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena.
The closing gala and awards ceremony took place this afternoon at the Auditorium The Batel of Cartagena.
Awards that have been travelers since the winners came from Murcia, Lorca, Jumilla and Sewer.
A year classical music contest ended with a tight result for the quality of the performances of young musicians.
The winners collected their prize in a crowded auditorium audience.
The awards ceremony began with the brilliant performance of young tenor Aaron Vidal Jover, who performed works by GF Händel, Francesco Cilèa, Francesco P. Tosti, Richard Strauss and Tchaikovsky with the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena directed by Andres Perez Barnabas hotly delighting the audience applauded her performance.
During the month of November last year, it took place in different parts of the region of Murcia, in Cartagena, Murcia and guilas, a series of promotional concerts, in which all the winners participated in the various forms of the last edition the contest between strings and brass, and where it could enjoy and check the e xcepcional talent of this tenor, I prize in the last edition.
This promising young bel canto was elected unanimously by the members of the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena to represent the contest in the closing ceremony.
The award was given by the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro lvarez;
the director general of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas;
the Councillor for Culture and Education, Rosario Montero;
the director of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, Maria Angeles Garcia Bres;
the Councillor for Youth, Ruth Maria Collado Gonzalez and Jonatan Beneite Rives, director of Music of Murcia.
The finishing touch put the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, closing in the best way possible this gala with a varied program which took place Flamenco.
The youth orchestra directed by Andrs Prez part III Barnabas began with the well-known work The Arlesiana (2nd Suite) by Georges Bizet, interpreting masterfully.
Continuing with the performance of young flamenco guitarist Fran Capiscol is currently professor of flamenco guitar at the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena performing a guajira accompanied by dance Daniel Valera, Juan Jose Robles to the 2nd guitar, Adrian Ruiz of singing and bass Miguel ngel Marn.
Closing with a bulera master Enrique de Melchor entitled Air Alley, accompanied in this case by the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, directing Barnabas Andres Perez prepared a magnificent arrangement for the orchestra of this very flamenco.
A flute Alicia Burgos, Daniel Valera dancing, singing Maria Dolores Cayuela, the palms Yolanda Alcaraz and Adrian Marquez and Alejandro Solano drawer.
This edition can be defined as a higher level where it has been and where more people have participated, in total 167 young people from all conservatories in the region, where participating students have demonstrated their dedication and passion, being really complicated the work of the various juries that, given the quality of the musicians, have had to examine even the smallest detail to give judgment.
During the fourth quarter, the winners held promotional concerts accompanied the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena.
