The Virgen de Begoña school has received this week to players and coaches of UPCT Basket Cartagena male, with which students of 5th and 6th grade, have been able to play basketball and get a little closer to the sport.
This activity is included in the ADE (Approach to Sport à ‰ lite) of the Department of Sports.
The day began with a presentation of the athletes, who broke into the arena of the school to the applause of more than a hundred schoolchildren.
The sporting director, Paco Guillen, talked about the history of the club and the work being done at the grassroots and senior teams, coming, then men's team several components, as Pepe Garcia (coach), Carlos Gracia (trainer), Cristian Alcaraz and Uros Vasiljevic, has to answer questions and curiosities of the pupils.
Then they passed the practical part, consisting of games, exercises and mini-parties, which involved schoolchildren, with the players how do monitores¿ exception.
The day ended with the presentation of pictures of the male senior team for all students and signing autographs.
The ADE program is organized by the Department of Sports City of Cartagena and has the support of the Directorate General of Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the Association of Graduates in Physical Education and Sports of the Region of Murcia .
