Manufacturing Torres, who this summer moved from La Palma to Polygon Cabezo Beaza, has given 260 free helmets tested officers over the next two years, serving for effectiveness and to study possible improvements
The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, on behalf of the City, and Francisco Javier Thomas, representing the company Cartagena MT (Manufacturing Thomas) signed Thursday a cooperation agreement in which the free transfer, by MT is formalized, 260 helmets to be used by officers of the Local Police of Cartagena during the next two years.
This agreement will allow the company to continue researching and studying to improve their product, while the police may bring better and higher quality helmets, manufactured by one of the most powerful companies in the municipality, the mayor noted after the signing.
As he explained by the representative of MT, when we analyze manufacture a product which the user is perfect and in this case, we believe that the local police is, as we are interested in analyzing the continuous use of the product to find the best materials.
Thus, during these two years analysis will be carried every 6 months and possible improvements that arise, will be added to the new helmets.
MT company, currently located in La Palma, not only is not going the municipality, as stated in recent reports, it will open in August its new, more modern, expanded facilities in the Industrial Cabezo Beaza and is in expansion process, with presence in 70 countries and extending to Southeast Asia, and sales volume of more than 1,500 helmets / day.
With the new facility will also expand the number of workers, there are now 25 but in reality we need more staff, are hiring people through UPCT no longer fit into our offices in La Palma, and we need a site that allows us to continue growing , assured Francisco Javier Thomas.
