The Polytechnic University of Cartagena has already submitted the convening of four scholarships for Urban Innovation Center, part of CTracción project. The project aims to create an urban district designed to accommodate entrepreneurs.
The scholarship of 400 euros per month each, can be requested from next Monday.
CTracción is a project promoted by the Instituto de Fomento Region de Murcia (INFO), the City of Cartagena, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation. Each of the institutions have contributed to the project 5,000 euros to promote the Center for Urban Innovation with the help of four fellows will be selected in the areas of Business and Economics, Energy Efficiency, Architecture and Planning and Information Technology and Communications (ICT).
The Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Communications, Juan Luis Pedroza has explained that the selection of the four students will be before the summer and the beginning of the scholarship will be in September in one year period.
The scholarships have a duration of one year and are aimed at students trained in UPCT and will work under the supervision of doctors Rosa Badillo, Juan Pedro Sanz, Fernando Illán, Juan Monzó and coordination of the municipal company Casco Antiguo.
The main requirements for applicants must be UPCT during 2015-2016 and from first or second cycle, graduate, undergraduate, master's or doctoral course.
The day that each fellow will devote three hours a day in the mornings or afternoons.
For the duration of the fellowship, the staff will develop projects related to urban development, analysis, diagnosis and definition of the scope, entrepreneurship and economic development, an intelligent city, as well as energy and sustainability plan.
In addition to these scholarships, students UPCT can make their final degree projects.
