The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) has launched four scholarships for Urban Innovation Center, part of CTracción project, which aims to create an urban district designed to accommodate entrepreneurs and attract talent.
The initiative was presented today at the rectory.
The scholarship of 400 euros a month, may be requested from next Monday.
CTracción is a project promoted by the Instituto de Fomento Region de Murcia (INFO), the City of Cartagena, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation.
Each of these institutions has contributed to the project 5,000 euros to promote the Center for Urban Innovation with the help of the four fellows will be selected in the areas of Business and Economics, Energy Efficiency, Architecture and Planning and Information Technology and Communications (ICTs).
The scholarships, which have a duration of one year, are aimed at students trained in UPCT, who will work under the supervision of doctors Rosa Badillo, Juan Pedro Sanz, Fernando Illán, Juan Luis Pedroza and coordination of the municipal company Old Town .
As for the requirements, applicants must be students during the course UPCT 2015-20116, whether undergraduate students, postgraduate, graduate, undergraduate, master's or doctorate.
The dedication of each trainee to the project is 3 hours a day in the morning or afternoon.
For the duration of the fellowship, the staff will develop projects related to urban development, analysis, diagnosis and definition of the scope, entrepreneurship and economic development, an intelligent city, as well as energy and sustainability plan.
In addition to these scholarships, students UPCT can make their final degree projects.
