King's Square this morning has been the scene of a flashmob for the Arts which involved about 400 youngsters from various schools in the municipality.
This afternoon it's the turn to the St. Vincent de Paul School, with choreography against truancy, on the esplanade of the port and Plaza Icue
About 400 students have gathered this morning in the Plaza del Rey to play a flasmob with the slogan Cartagena for the Arts.
Young people come from all levels and various secondary education centers of Cartagena (Polytechnic, Los Molinos, Isaac Peral and Santa Lucia and the Leonardo Da Vinci of Los Belones College).
Students have come together to make this collective choreography in the Plaza del Rey in support of the arts in education, a dance that was based on the theme of Beyonce, Im a single lady. There has also been a show of posters following the Flashmob theme: Cartagena for the Arts.
The event has been attended by the councilors of Education, Josefa Maroto, Youth, Ruth Collins, and Women, Clara Heredia.

Following the fashion of the flash-mob, the St. Vincent de Paul School of Cartagena, in collaboration with two other centers, one in Madrid and one in Cuenca, has organized for this afternoon a new choreography that will have as scenario the Esplanade of the Port at 19.00 hours and Icue Square, at 19.30 hours.
This activity occurs as a result of a project sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports to combat truancy and also promotes education in basic skills through musical theater.
