The Ministry of Education today presented in Madrid the researcher at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) Carlos Colodro one of the fifteen National Awards for University Education.

Colodro, Cartagena, 27, has received the award for academic records and scientific merits accumulated UPCT studying Telecommunications Engineering, a title he won in 2011, year of graduation now resolved the call for national awards .
Colodro had an average score of 9.11 out of 10, compared to an average of 6.58 in his class.
Beside him, only two other students from universities in the region of Murcia in 2011 graduates have achieved some of the 57 national awards in the various branches of university studies.

The endowment of the prize is 3,300 euros.

After graduating in Telecommunications Engineering and getting the Thesis Prize UPCT, Colodro also held in Cartagena Polytechnic master's degree in information and communications technology, obtaining a similar award again, and two years is making a doctoral research at the School of Teleco own for the Euclid project of the European Space Agency, with the collaboration of researchers from seven other UPCT.
His work currently focuses on the control module and infrared communications instrument with which the satellite will perform a three-dimensional map of the Universe to reveal the nature of dark matter.
The director of the School of Telecommunications Engineering (ETSIT) UPCT, Leandro Juan, greatly appreciates the national recognition of the academic performance of Carlos Colodro and stresses that "besides being a brilliant student, Carlos has many other qualities they have made it a beloved and admired by his peers and by the teaching person.
