The Local Government has approved this morning li tlement 2013 and 2014 passenger transport bus in Cartagena.
The municipality has a public transport fleet of 56 buses, of which 35 are intended for urban lines, 17 intercity and commuter lines and four minibuses.
Among them are four new hybrid buses that have allowed 39 percent save fuel and reduce CO2 emissions by 50 percent.
They are more accessible to disabled and able to carry 154 passengers buses.
The report shows that during 2014 there has been a rise of 111,000 passengers, up 2.5 percent compared to 2013. In 2013 there were 4,373,610 compared to 4,484,948 travelers 2014.
For months, the highest increase was recorded in December, which was 8.3 percent compared to the figures of the same month in 2013.
This increase rating has allowed the City to go decreasing the budget allocated to public transport, with which wipes the economic imbalance of exploitation and social subsidized price banknotes.
This municipal contribution in 2014 was six million euros and in 2015 will be 5.858 million euros, for the improved results.
GRANTS AND SUBSIDIES
The Local Government Board has also approved the canon eparto r obtained by the chairs of Three Kings last three charities of the city.
Specifically were allocated 3,000 AFIBROCAR obtained, ASTRADE and Multiple Sclerosis Association, who will receive a grant of 1,000 euros each.
It has also awarded one of 2,500 euros for the organization of the XXIII International Competition Pasodobles Well Strait and another 60 thousand euros for the Cartagena Convention Bureau Foundation.
Finally, and among other matters the Board of Governors approved the allocation of grants to youth groups in the amount of 40,000 euros.
This is aid to 54 associations ranging between 400 and 1,300 euros each.
