This has been evident during the inauguration of the first days of Economy and Sustainable Development, held this week at the Faculty of Business.
The vice president of Infrastructure, Equipment and Sustainability, José Pérez, has indicated that this part of the subscription commitment by the University to the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development.
"The UPCT supports this statement be working for sustainable development, promoting research in this area and adapt our facilities to make the most environmentally friendly," said Perez.
In presenting this conference, which will run until next Thursday and will conclude on Friday with a visit to the company headquarters Sabic and Repsol, the director of the conference, Miguel Angel Tobarra, stressed that the aim of this activity is "to explain to society that the only possible growth model is one that respects the values ​​of sustainability".
