The Sunday World Bicycle Day, organized by the MoviliCT, Bicue, clubs cyclists and the Department of Sports City of Cartagena group was held. They also collaborated cycling associations and traders related to the world of cycling.
Nearly three thousand people, of which about fifty percent were students, cycled 10 km to promote the use of bicycles as a means of economic, healthy and sustainable transport with the environment.
The event was a success, and has been very significant participation of families, showing that in part has achieved the goal of awareness of the importance of sustainable transport. The purpose of a cleaner environment and better health, and sue drivers greater respect for tracks and routes for cyclists.
In developing the test, thirty agents of the local police were awaiting all incidents and uneventful as planned, and about a hundred volunteers that participants were attentive throughout the tour.
The route ran from the esplanade of the port until Mandarache parking space, which was prepared supplies.
Among the participants, five bikes, provided by Martos Cycles, Cycles Curra, Mundobici, Galindo and Decathlon Cycles were raffled.
