Martin Lejárraga with its design morgue of La Palma, was the eighteenth edition of the award, and during the ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, there were also special mention for the rehabilitation of a house in Cartagena and Hall Museum Isaac Peral
The XVIII Regional Architecture Award, which is organized by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning, the Association of Architects and the Cajamurcia Foundation, has gone to Cartagena based architect, Martin Lejárraga, as author of the Funeral La Palma.
During the awards ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, there were also special mentions for other projects developed in Cartagena, as the Integral Rehabilitation Plan 2007-2014 facades, which has seen performances in 38 buildings with a total investment of 4.5 million euros, of which 1.9 were funded by the Autonomous Community, covering the city of Cartagena project funding and project managers.
Other actions highlighted by the awards have been the Auditorium and Convention Center The Batel, in whom fell the special prize to the permanence of architectural values;
Rehabilitation detached house, and the Adequacy of the old foundry and design platform Isaac Peral Living Museum.
The Town Planning and Infrastructure, Francisco Espejo, was representing the City, in charge of collecting prizes for Façade Rehabilitation Plan and Auditorium Batel, in the event held at the headquarters of the Caja Murcia Foundation in the Gran Vía de Murcia.
