The Municipal Institute of Coastal Services City of Cartagena (IMSEL) left this morning jellyfish clean the beaches of La Manga, belonging to the municipality of Cartagena and ready for normal use.
The persistent easterly storm that has been lashing the area two weeks ago, had washed ashore thousands of coelenterates.
IMSEL sources have indicated that this is a common phenomenon in spring when such temporary are recorded and are drawn from offshore to the coast.
The cleaning machines of Cartagena IMSEL could start work on Wednesday, when it subsided the east and in just a few hours managed to remove the jellyfish and let the sand in perfect magazine, as stated in the conjala Tourism, Palazón Carolina, who highlighted the speed with which it has acted.
