The hitherto vicegerent of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Carmen Alcaraz, has been appointed manager of the UPCT and the coordinator of the Network of Chairs Technology Companies Alejandro Diaz, professor of Information Technologies and Communications, has been appointed Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation.
Pablo Fernández Escámez, until now Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, will move to the position of director of the International Doctoral School UPCT.
According to the Management Team Fernández meets all academic requirements and experience to drive forward the efizcamente.
Carmen Alcaraz, PhD in chemistry, has been Head of the Unit for Research and Technology Transfer and Director of the TTO UPCT and serves as the vicegerent since 2012. Alcaraz is a profound knowledge of the functioning of financial management in UPCT and the management and planning of administrative services of the University.
Alejandro Diaz, professor of University Area Signal Theory and Communications at the School of Teleco UPCT, is an expert in the application of microwave telecommunication systems and industrial heating.
It has promoted successfully in the past year, together with the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Communications Network Technology Business Chairs.
