From March 28 to May 30 will be held in the port city the thirteenth edition of the Regional Chess Championship organized by the Regional Federation and the Chess Club Sauces with the assistance of the City
The city of Cartagena will host for the second time, the Absolute Regional Individual Chess Championship, which celebrates its thirtieth edition of March 28 to May 30, and is organized by the Chess Federation of the Region of Murcia (FARM ), the AA.VV Sauces and Sauces Chess Club Cartagena, in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Cartagena.
The mayor of Sports, Diego Ortega, and the president of the Chess Club Suces, Felipe Alcaraz, were in charge of publicizing Wednesday, details of the event, which will be developed on Saturdays from 17, 00 hours, in the auditorium of the Neighborhood Association Sauces.
As explained Felipe Alcaraz, the championship will be played in 8 rounds and the Swiss system, which consists of matching players with the same score. We expect the participation of around a hundred players, the best in the Region of Murcia, and the tournament winner who will represent us in the Championship of Spain.
Ortega, meanwhile, stressed the good work of collective Sauces, whom his work of revitalization of associations must thank the city, organizing events like this chess championship.
