Last Friday, the extensive hiking group of older had the opportunity to travel back in time to meet an interesting route: that of the Roman quarries.
With a distance of eight miles and a half, a moderate difficulty and a cumulative 109 meters altitude, the ninth route organized this semester by the Department of Social Services was launched from Mandarache, through the Cartagonova Municipal Stadium, the Villalba neighborhood , Naval Hospital, Los Garcias, Canteras Roman, Urbanisation The Trough, San Jose Obrero, Rambla de Benipila arrival to Mandarache.
The Roman quarries are an archaeological site, formed in the Miocene, where the remains of a sandstone holding time of the Roman Hispania is.
