The Department of Sports City of Cartagena has opened the deadline for awarding grants to the organization and development of physical and sports in the municipality of Cartagena, activities for a sum amounting to 520,000 euros.
These grants are aimed at institutions and sports associations, non-profit, proposing activities that facilitate access of citizens to the practice of physical activity of different sports programs sports initiation and maintenance of equipment in competitions federated at various levels, with or rganization of activities or sporting events of special interest and editing publications on sport during the 2015 season.
It will be essential for the granting of subsidies condition, the existence of self or external financing of the project presented (at least 50%), since the maximum amount to be granted to each beneficiary shall not exceed 50 percent of the total budget.
The beneficiaries of grants, in addition to compliance with the obligations under the Budget Implementation Rules of the City of Cartagena, will be required to attend follow-up meetings established by the technical staff of the Department of Sports, for which, each shall appoint a responsible and an alternate project.
Entities and associations applicants must be legally constituted and registered with the Directorate General of Sports and the City of Cartagena and have sufficient structure to ensure compliance with its objectives.
They should also keep abreast of contributions to Social Security and tax obligations, in accordance with current legislation, and have justified technically and economically subsidies received in previous years.
The deadline for submitting applications will remain open until April 4.
