The Municipal Institute of Coastal Services (IMSEL) under the Department of Planning and Infrastructure of the City of Cartagena, next week will renew sand urban beach of Cala Cortina.
The tasks are carried out in collaboration with the Coastal has provided the IMSEL a January 44 tons of sand quarry, which is stacked and around the beach.
As explained sources of the institute, next week will close the beach a few days to remove all existing sand and redistribute it while it incorporates new.
The idea is to improve the appearance and quality as the sand of this popular beach, which will be operational by the bridge of San José.
Similar actions have been carried out in other areas of the coast of Cartagena overlooking the arrival of warm weather and especially Easter.
The latter are being undertaken in the area of Los Urrutias, Punta Brava and Playa de Levante, where he tries to mitigate the effects of the recent storms.
