Various activities formed Saturday morning at the Palace Hall where the Fire Department celebrated the day of its patron, San Juan de Dios. From 12 am approaching people could see an exhibition of twenty fire vehicles, drill intervention in a traffic accident and dangerous goods, and display vertical rescue group.
Among the twenty fire trucks that were exposed eight fire engines, four vehicles in height, five and three special light, where anyone who wanted to get close to the Town Hall or the Heroes Square Cavite could enjoy and learn more about the different vehicles were used by firefighters in their work.
Two mock intervention were also conducted in a traffic accident as a stage four vehicles involved, exposure of specific rescue equipment used in these situations and demonstration of techniques release of victims.
Even attendees citizens could participate in drills to experiment with tools release.
The sham intervention in dangerous goods accident had exposure of specific material delimitation of the hot zone, intervention with NBC protective suits, containment of hazardous material refilling a container and decontamination.
The display vertical rescue group consisted of sample material used in these situations, vertical abseiling from 30 meters and evacuation of victims by zip.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Public Safety of the City of Cartagena, Mariano Garcí where he held by the Fire Department the day of its patron, San Juan de Dios.
