The International Foundation Center for Heritage Conservation (CICOP) held in Cartagena their awards on Monday March 9. Among the winners is the consortium Cartagena Port of Cultures praise for his contribution to the cultural heritage of the city.
The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, receive on Monday at 13 am to the winners and leaders of the Foundation, at the Palace Hall.
The awards ceremony with which CICOP recognizes the work of the institutions of Europe, America and Africa in defense of cultural heritage, will take place at 19 am at the Faculty of Sciences of the Company (formerly CIM).
Cartagena Port of Cultures was awarded in the category of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Landscapes due to the enhancement of its historical legacy.
The Foundation has also awarded UPCT thanks to its contribution to the communication and dissemination of cultural heritage of the city of Cartagena and La Union for their contribution to the conservation of mining heritage.
The other winners are
Real Alcázar of Seville and the island of El Hierro.
