The president of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, Francisco Vidal Celdrán, received this morning to members of the Board of FEAPS Spain, the national confederation of organizations for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and thanked the work that develop in the interests of a more just and caring society.
The reception took place minutes before FEAPS Spain managers, representatives of the federations of the 17 autonónomas communities and Ceuta and Melilla, gather in the living Committees of the Assembly, to keep one of the working sessions meeting being held in Cartagena.
Francisco Celdrán praised the enormous progress that society has experienced in recent years towards disability, and welcomed the huge social support garnered by these organizations in defense of people with disabilities.

President FEAPS Murcia, Joaquín Barberá, has shown the special sensitivity that the Regional Assembly of Murcia has always shown towards Disability, and recalled the "juggling" which, in turn, had to do to promote initiatives innovative in this field, as consideration of PROLAM as special supplier or hiring people with disabilities.
President FEAPS Spain, Santiago López, recalled that the main objectives of this organization are defending the rights of people with disabilities and their families;
improve the portfolio of services currently provided (residential, employment centers, etc ...) and keep looking for financial resources to develop their work through support of adeministraciones or self-generated resources.
Lopez has said that the most important advance in the past year has been, without doubt, the inclusion of people with disabilities in all decision-making processes in the organs of FEAPS, an entity that integrates 235,000 families and 40,000 professionals in 4,000 centers and services distributed throughout Spain.
