During the 25th, 26th and February 27th is celebrated in the School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena, ESPAC the first course aimed at the Port Police, under the Port Authority of Cartagena, on techniques for safe police intervention, personal protection and first aid.
The ESPAC, has among its objectives the prevention training by developing training activities and dissemination of techniques and attitudes in the field of public safety, and that they are directed to individuals, groups, companies or other organizations.
The course is scheduled as an update of the knowledge possessed by agents of the Port Police.
A first edition of the course of three planned, will be held for all the Port Police agents have access to the knowledge needed to perform their work safely.
The other two editions were held, on 4, 5 and 6 March and
11, 12 and 13 March.
The course's main objectives are to provide members of the Port Police of the knowledge and skills needed to perform their work in a secure environment, and knowledge of the use of defibrillators and experiments on CPR, highlighting topics following:
- Security Basics in police situations.
- Identification, frisking and handcuffing of people.- Detention and vehicle registration.
- Using the defibrillator and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation practices.
- First Aid Guide.
