The School of Architecture and Building of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), the Department of Environment of the City of Cartagena and Land Stewardship Entity of Garbancillo of Tallante (ECUGA) have launched a new rehabilitation project architecture of the western part of Cartagena that will begin this week.
The seventy students of the subject Projects I, led by professors in the Department of Architecture and Building Technology UPCT, Jaume Blancafort and Patricia Reus, begin this activity with a first output this Thursday, February 26, old school Municipal -workshop of Tallante located in the vicinity known as High Houses for inspiration in the landscape and built environment.
The exercise will consist of a project to rehabilitate the building and turn it into a center of environmental and socio-cultural nature, and the inclusion therein of a single house.
After completing the course all projects and models will be exhibited in the local neighborhood association Tallante and provide a selection of those ideas that are better example of eco-efficient architecture, adapted to the environment and energy self to be performed .
Although activity will run throughout the morning, will be between 12:00 and 13:00 when alumnostrabajen on the ground more concisely.
