Technicians of the Department of Social Services participated along with representatives from the municipalities of Barcelona, ​​Tenerife, San Sebastián, Sabadell, Bilbao, Santa Coloma de Gramanet, Fuenlabrada, Parla, Getxo, Castellón de la Plana and Logroño, the Obra Social La Caixa and experts from the Council of Europe.
The city of Barcelona hosted the last 19 and February 20 the Eighth Day Network Working Intercultural Cities of Spain (RECI) from which part Cartagena.
In the morning session the activities undertaken last year in cities RECI were evaluated and the work plan and guidelines for 2015 was presented, while in the afternoon session dialogue and exchange of experiences between cities that have developed promoted one anti-rumor strategy, putting in evidence what are the key elements that must be considered to take this action or to continue with it, and how they have managed the anti-rumor Strategies cities that are immersed in the process.
The 19th session ended with the exchange of ideas, suggestions and experiences.
On Saturday 20 attended the Final Conference of the European Project KING (Knowledge Integration for Governance), organized by the La Caixa Foundation.
In the same situation the integration of immigrants in Europe is presented, pointing out a series of recommendations based on evidence.
There were sessions on integration policies on the use of social networks to access resources on policies guiding strategies on new scenarios, etc.
With all this was put in relief the potential that migration poses to European societies.
