The City of Cartagena has returned to celebrate this morning a marathon session of four hours and a half.
Almost all the time he has led the presentation of the various initiatives that have made ​​municipal groups totaling 24 motions, a plea and 7 questions.
The agenda was approved in minutes, without debate, given that favorable positions muicipales groups had already been fixed in informative commission.
This has given the green light, inter alia, to the final approval of the Specific Modification No. 9 PGMO of Cartagena, which transforms an existing urban land in the Basin of tailings in Port General Communications System.
It also unanimously adopted the Plan of Action for Sustainable Energy (PAES), which proposes 63 actions and measures in buildings and facilities, municipal and non-municipal, residential buildings, public lighting, municipal car park, public and private transport and comercial.El PAES aims at achieving European funds to carry out a policy to reduce CO2 emissions and increase the use of renewable energies in another 20, comparing the years 2008 and 2020. It is a goal provided for in the Covenant of Mayors signed by Cartagena and reflected in the acronym 20-20-20.
All these actions involve the mobilization of some investments worth 359.2 million euros, performed, for the most part, privately and always optimizing public investment.
The corporation has also unanimously approved the incorporation of the City of Cartagena Consortium of Greenways in the Region of Murcia, whose goal is the restoration of the old railway line between Cartagena and Totana and its subsequent use as Greenway.
The integration of this consortium will allow the development of a joint project between the municipalities through which runs the layout and the Autonomous Community and the application of European funds to carry out, with a view to tourist development in the town of Cartagena.
Finally, and within this tone agreement between all local groups has also approved the granting of the title of Adopted Son of Cartagena English teacher Juan Carrion, after the conclusion of the record of honors and municipal distinctions, which acceded individuals and institutions.
With this appointment we want to recognize the work done in teaching English for several decades in the city, incorporating innovative learning methods, as was the use of Beatles songs, and that inspired the film David Trueba, Living is Easy with Eyes Closed, Goya-winning and nominated for Oscar.

The consensus between government and opposition has gone to reach the pleas motions and questions.
None of the 24 motions made ​​by the opposition has passed the emergency declaration procedure necessary to enter discussion with government arguments that were not in competition matters to full or had been properly managed or with which disagreement was shown on the proposals.
