The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, has issued the Edict of traditional facades, to be published tomorrow Ash Wednesday.
The purpose of this camp is to facilitate the work of embellishment, typically performed by homeowners and municipal buildings facing the celebration of Holy Week processions.
The City Council granted licenses mean the works to be carried out between Ash Wednesday until March 27 Good Friday, and relate to cleaning and decoration of facades.
To qualify for benefits under this provision, such works must comply with the aesthetic guidelines of the Special Plan for Management and Protection of Historic de Cartagena, leaving out those affecting listed buildings declared BIC or whose licenses shall be processed in any case, according to the procedure established by law.
The remaining works ornamental observe the general guidelines on composition and urban aesthetics contained in the General Plan.
Also left out of the application of this Bando, actions intended to be in public domain areas or zones condition that the relevant sectoral legislation be governed.
Sources from the Department of Planning specified that the sides also permits occupation of public roads with the elements necessary for the execution of works, such as scaffolding or cranes shall be deemed granted, in the period of validity thereof, mobile, subject in all cases the security measures taken.
