The track was featured Thursday in the school Miralmonte Polygon Residencial Santa Ana, for elementary students, with the help of monitors Elcano Athletics Club athletes and UCAM Cartagena, in an activity of ADE program of the Department of Sports City of Cartagena.
The day was developped within the school, with a first theoretical part where schoolchildren witnessed videos about athletics elite and grassroots, having the opportunity to ask questions to athletes of UCAM Cartagena, Bertran, Vicente Guardiola and Albert Ferrer and as monitors Elcano club, Toni Lopez and Alfredo Castilla.
The approach to athletics continued in the flag room school where pupils were applied to athletics disciplines such as jumping, throwing, speed and relays.
With this format ADE program, the Sports Council aims to bring sports to schools through sports and monitors, sending in this case athletics to a greater number of school.
The ADE program is organized by the Sports Council of Cartagena and has the support of the Directorate General of Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the Association of Graduates in Physical Education and Sports of the Region of Murcia.
