As is tradition, the Department of Social Services is organizing the Carnaval for seniors in our town, held on Thursday February 12 at the Municipal Sports Pavilion Wssell Guimbarda, will wear their finery to host one of the most anticipated events of the holidays.
For several months, the biggest slum of the Virgin of Charity, La Manga, La Palma, Miranda, La Aljorra, San Jose Obrero, Santa Ana, Los Belones and San Ginés, have developed workshops for making costumes, accessories and rehearsing the choreography that will stage.
Carnival party will begin at 17.00 hours and opening borne by the councilors of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, and Celebration, Florentina Garcia.
Then act and enrolled nine troupes will parade the candidates for Queen of Carnival 2015. After the traditional dance of Piñata will elect the Queen and Ladies of Honor and prizes to participating troupes will be delivered.
On Saturday, February 14, the groups of older again go out to participate in the great carnival parade, accompanied by the coach of the Queen and her ladies.
