Suanzes has thus come out against the criticism of municipal group of IU-Greens posed whether to prescribe a debt of 440,000 euros from the Autonomous Community of the balances generated between 2005 and 2012, as stated in a report Court of Auditors.

Suanzes explained that in September 2014 the City of Cartagena started a record compensation of debts with the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for tax debts it owed ​​to the session, and which included the old debt and subsequent 2013. The compensation is performed under the provincial surcharge Business Tax (IAE), which raises the City to the region and covering the year 2012 totaled 1,739,705.76 euros.

Councillor has stated that the settlement agreement includes debts that are not prescribed, because the City has reported periodically to the CARM your request for payment, without the latter's been paid, according to the documents and acknowledgments that in the file.

In particular debt is compensated comprising the CARM unpaid debts from 2005 to 2013, amounting to 1,193,399.06 euros, against 1,739,705.76 euros of provincial surcharge of 2012 owed ​​by the City Council, generating a balance in favor of the Commonwealth of 546,306.70 euros.

Still, CARM has used the Settlement Agreement, which must await final resolution, prior to adjudication Economic Administrative Council.

The councilor has also advanced that once firmly declare this compensation, the City Council shall hold new provincial compensation surcharge IAE 2013 to 2014 unpaid debts by the CARM.

Finally he noted that the Court itself of Auditors in its audit report of the collection management of the City of Cartagena, has acknowledged being conducted performances by the City intended to offset the amount of the withholding IAE on his behalf what with CARM.
