The president of the Community, Alberto Garre, opened today in Cartagena dependencies of the new Health Center Barrio de la Concepción, in whose construction the regional government has invested a total of 2 million euros.

Specifically, the president stressed the economic effort of the Community to "serve as due to the more than 20,000 Cartagena belonging to this area of ​​health."
In this regard, said that the center "can expand and bring more healing to every citizen," and said he has 15 positions in family medicine and three of pediatrics. "This center also has the spaces needed to perform actions health promotion aimed at the population as well as training for health workers.
The new building occupies over 3,300 square meters and has been built on a plot of the City of Cartagena, where the former Primary Care Clinic del Barrio de la Concepción was located.
With this new center, the network of health centers in the area of ​​Cartagena continues to expand which, according to the president Garre, is "a commitment to primary care, which is closest to citizens care, and our priority" .
Cartagena thus becomes a "special" village within the regional healthcare network, since it is the only major health area that features two doors and emergency hospital complex as well as an extensive network of health centers and able to reach the highest levels of quality of care clinics.
