La Casa del Folklore of La Palma hosted Saturday the first qualifying round of the National Competition Saetas Cartagena 2015, organized by the Association of Portapasos of Our Lady of Mercy of Marraja Brotherhood, in collaboration with the Department of Culture City of Cartagena, the Folk Group City of Cartagena, the Catholic University of Murcia, Murcia Popular Television.

The event, presented by Paloma Garcia, had charitable as all public input will go to Caritas of La Palma.

And the audience, renowned artists, such as Cartagena painter Perez Casanova, who created the poster;

and sculptor Sáenz de Elorrieta, creator Trophy winner-take.

Participants in this first round, who sang accompanied by drum and guitar Thebes Luis de Borja Gracia Baron, were David Contreras Castro The Cardueli (Cartagena) Crespillo Rocío Luna (Córdoba); Manuel Cuevas González (Sevilla), Maria Dolores Diaz Ferrer (Cartagena); Agustín García Garnes (Cartagena), Miguel à ngel Lara Solano El Canario (Sevilla);

Ocaña and Rocío Muñoz (Córdoba).

The jury was composed by Manuel León (Music Teacher, specialty flamenco guitar) as president, Antonio Ayala Paredes The Ramp (Professor Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, Mining Lamp The Union 1989), José Francisco Ortega (flamencologist, Music Teacher University of Murcia); Antonio Casado, Francisco Girón, and Bernardo Garcia (arrows experts, Brotherhood Marraja);

and José Antonio Casado Mena (Expert arrows, Brotherhood Marraja) as secretary.

The large audience enjoyed fourteen arrows which interpreted, also taking the opportunity to taste typical dishes.

Once the contest, the party continued in the kitchen of the House of Folklore dances and flamenco songs that improvised some contestants palmesano folk group members and assistants, among which was Does Bongui¿ (Mining Lamp The Union 1994 ).

The second qualifying round will be held on Saturday February 7 at the House of Folklore of La Palma and the final on March 14 at the Church of Santa María de Cartagena.
