The prize Jacinto Alcaraz Mellado, solidarity, tolerance and coexistence which gives, for 17 years, IES Ben Arabi, has been awarded this year's CANVI-Cartagena Association, formed by people affected by cancer and their families, Nonprofit aims to form a support group and help all those affected by the problem of cancer, promoting the exchange of experiences, conducting activities and seeking resources to cope with the disease.
The ceremony was chaired by the Director of the Centre, D. Manuel Diaz Segura, and was attended by the General Director of Quality, Innovation and Attention to Diversity, Ms.
María Begoña Iniesta Moreno, who congratulated and commended for their work on the winning prize Association and the Ben Arabi Institute, to keep the award for so many years, by involving all sectors of the educational community in choosing the winner.

Sorrows Arcas, widow of Jacinto Alcaraz, presented the award to President CANVI-Cartagena, D. Blas González González Association, after thanking the award, presented and elaborated on the main ideas behind the Association, as well as the tools that let you bring these ideas to people affected by the disease.
This year, once again, was attended by relatives of Jacinto Alcaraz, who was a professor of IES Ben Arabi.
The event began, and ended, with the participation of students from Ben Arabi and the Conservatory, who performed various musical pieces.
