Coinciding with the Diocesan Conference of brotherhoods that were held Sunday in Cartagena, the co-patron toured the town, which was accompanied by neighbors and brothers, culminating in a mass at the port
La Virgen del Rosell, patron of Cartagena, went in procession Sunday, an exceptional event that coincided with the celebration in the city of Diocesan Conference XII brotherhoods, which brought together about sixty members of fraternities throughout the region, about 1,500 people.
The meeting began with a reception in the main atrium of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Cartagena, the act of Welcome and Prayer, which was attended by the Town Planning and Infrastructure, Francisco Espejo, and a greeting by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and representatives of Brotherhoods.
After this greeting, the presidents of the Councils or Central Boards of the various stocks held firm in the Book of Pilgrimage, then giving way to the Jubilee Procession of guilds, who left the Church of Santa Maria, with a delegation headed by the picket beaters Risen Guild.
The various participants guilds were organized for the procession in alphabetical order of populations, each carrying a poster announcing the population and its various banners.
The procession also featured the Band of Bugles and Drums Torreciega Cartagena Bay.
Closing the parade, the throne of the Virgin del Rosell, carried by a hundred people in four shifts and accompanied by band music Sauces.
Also the picket Honors Section Californians Grenadier of the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus in the Arrest, escorted the virgin with his band of drums and bugles.
At noon, after the arrival of the procession to the Heroes Square Cavite, a Mass presided by the Bishop of the Diocese, José Manuel Lorca Planes, who was accompanied by the Polyphonic Choir Jesus Prendido of the Brotherhood of Californians took place.
The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, also attended the Mass, accompanied by several councilors of the municipal corporation.
The day ended with a meal Brotherhood in Paradise restaurant.
