Children from school yesterday visited Vicente Medina Municipal Athletics Track to enjoy a morning of sport and coexistence.
After a visit and subsequent explanation of athletics also practiced some disciplines as the shot put and high jump.
This activity is within the ADE program of the Department of Sports.
Students toured on the track so that students were aware of areas where the athletics are conducted.
In addition, they received explanations of Alfredo Castilla, president Elcano Athletics Club who transmitted his knowledge about this sport.
The theoretical explanation was complemented by the practice of some disciplines of athletics as shot put, javelin, high jump, speed and a return to the track to finish the morning.
In this way, children could learn more about the sport and approach different disciplines of athletics.
Students of Vicente Medina were participatory in testing, some of them preparing for the Third Inter-Municipal Athletic League to be held in April.
The day was led by Alfredo Castilla, Toni López, Alberto Ferrer and Javier Ferre r Elcano Athletics Club and Athletic Club UCAM Cartagena.
The ADE program, organized by the Department of Sports City of Cartagena, has the support of the Directorate General of Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and the Association of Graduates in Physical Education and Sports in the region.
