About to celebrate its silver anniversary, the International Competition for Musical Composition Pasodobles Villa de Pozo Strait celebrates its twenty-third edition this year, the final will take place on Saturday January 24, at the Civic Center of the town, from 20.30.
Responsible for submitting this event have been the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, and the president of the Neighborhood Association of Pozo Strait, Sonia Montoya, noting both the effort and cooperation of neighbors to go keeping, despite times of crisis This contest, one of the oldest in Spain.
During the final act of the three pasodobles selected by a jury of five experts in the field, including the winner, who will be announced on the spot will be decided construed.
The finalists are the River Magro, The Alboroque and The Maestrillo pasodobles, all new compositions, which will be performed for the first time this Saturday the band Santa Cecilia de Pozo Strait. For this edition, noted Sonia Montoya, have presented one total of 22 pasodobles, some of them from other countries, mainly in Europe, such as Germany, Holland and Switzerland.
The poster contest is the work of local artist Javier Lorente and, as a prize, the winner will receive 2000 euros and the second and third place, will get two separate diplomas.
