The City of Cartagena, the Chamber of Commerce, the Technical University and the Institute of Development have signed
an agreement for the creation of a Center for Urban Innovation will be the launch pad of C-Drive project in the Old Town of Cartagena.

Urban Innovation Center will be established as a laboratory to start working on specific projects.

The four institutions will convene scholarships in different areas of work related to the content of the project and by reaching out to students trained at the Polytechnic University.
Grants will be for a period of one year in the areas of architecture and urbanism;
Business and Economics;
Tecnoologías of Information and Communication ICT;
and Energy Efficiency.
The Center for Urban Innovation will be based in ELDI Polytechnic University Cartagena, located on the campus of Antigones.
Thus, the District of Entrepreneurs start rolling, through concrete initiatives and actions that will transform the Sacred Mount and its environment in a smart, sustainable and a welcoming place for entrepreneurs neighborhood.
The mayor of Cartagena has indicated that this is one more step to recovery work the historic center of the city and thus provide a new Cartagena economy is tourism.
