The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and presidential advisor, José Gabriel Ruiz, along with Councilman Employment, Joaquín Mowing, have been closed at the Palace Hall mixed employment workshops and training from the Agency for Local Development and Employment of the City of Cartagena (ALDE).

During the ceremony were delivered diplomas to 45 student workers between 25 and 54 years who participated in this program ALDE, in the specialties of geriatric care to dependent people in social institutions, activities of administrative and recording operations and processing of data and documents.

Mayor Pilar Barreiro stressed that these courses are organized by first checking what are the training needs of businesses and workforce needs;

then a view formed, conduct practices within companies, facilitating recruitment.

For his part, Minister of the Presidency announced that the Regional Government will allocate this year more than one million euros for five mixed conducting training workshops and employment in Cartagena. Has also highlighted the employment rate is achieved, which around 60 percent.

1,920 HOURS AND TWELVE MONTHS

Mixed employment workshops and training has lasted 12 months, which were given 1920 hours of theoretical training in each of the three specialties and labor practice.

Students workers, the ALDE has undergone a contract for training and learning, perceive during the duration of the program the minimum wage.

The theoretical training was given in the Occupational Training Centre, the ALDE has in Canteras, by forming specialists in each of the subjects.

All students / as have passed the theoretical and practical training and assessment tests have been made, so that the SEF will give them the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism in their specialty.

The labor practice has developed in different workplaces, depending on the specialty.

Students workers specialties and Administrative Management and Data Recording develop them in various Committees and Agencies of the City of Cartagena and the specialty of geriatric care in the Residences Senior Virgen del Mar and the Sisters of the Poor.

LEARN WORKING

The development of practical work is based on the philosophy of learning by working cornerstone of such programs and possible, while on the one hand that students apply what they learn in the classroom and on the other to cope in a real working environment to students directly connected with the working world.

The experience they gain gives them the skills that solely having theoretical training would be difficult to obtain.

The Joint Training Employment-Programme has had in 2014 with a total budget of 681,105.40 euros and is funded by the Agency for Local Development and Employment of the City of Cartagena, the Regional Employment and Training of the Autonomous Community of the Region Murcia, the Ministry of Employment and Social Security and the European Union through the European Social Fund.

At the end of the program, 15 students made ​​workers two months of work practice in companies of Portugal, through a European program called Erasmus Mobility +, developing the ALDE.

For other students, in order to facilitate insertion, the ALDE has managed a month of work experience in companies of the municipality of Cartagena, as Carrefour, Charity Hospital, Our Lady of Charity Medical Center, Practiser, Senior Residence of Amma Group Andres Mora Distributions Orpea Senior Residence, Hotel Entremares, Residential House, Technical Studies and Upper Labor Risks Group.
