The UPCT becomes associated organization of SEF and streamline bureaucratic process thanks to an agreement signed today by the Minister of the Presidency of the Community and the rector
The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) and the Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the Community offered to companies interested in incorporating newly qualified university students complete training pathway linking, unifying the paperwork, the student practices during his final year career at the Polytechnic, practices for under 26 recent graduates and tax incentives for labor contracts practices.
The UPCT has become for it in collaborating institution of SEF by signing a cooperation agreement signed today by the Rector of the Polytechnic, José Antonio Franco, and the Minister of Presidency and Employment, José Gabriel Ruiz.
The agreement covers the needs of companies that want to prolong practices UPCT students once they have completed their degree, invoking the SEF internship program.
"Thanks to the agreement, the extent of the practices can be processed directly in the Counseling Center and Employment (SIOC) of the Polytechnic and even be provided in processing the first training period, so that work experience is not interrupted and, both for businesses and for students, bureaucratic management is streamlined, "says Francisco Martínez, Vice Chancellor for Student.
"The goal is that our young people find a job" stressed the Minister of Presidency and Employment, who explained that labor practices are reclaimed with 200 euros a month for the Community, in addition to a minimum of 426 euros with which are paid these 'Talent Scholarship' for children under 26. "Two out of three achieved their employment" remarked Ruiz.
The Minister recalled other measures Strategy Youth Guarantee, such as tax incentives for businesses of up to 7,500 euros in the case of permanent contracts and grants of up to 8,000 euros for young entrepreneurs and up to 7,000 youth to mount a cooperative.
The agreement reflects the commitment of the SEF to seek employers and companies interested in profiles of students of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, to be registered as jobseekers, and mutual promotion of their job portals.
"Having the experience and the collaboration of Employment and Training we will greatly facilitate the task of facilitating the employability of our students," stressed the rector, José Antonio Franco.
