The City of Cartagena offered on Tuesday, January 20th, in the evening, a reception for the participants of the III Winter Cruising Forum held in Cartagena until January 22, organized by the specialized company Seatrade and the Port Authority Cartagena and gather in our city outstanding professionals and executives from major international shipping lines.
The event will be held from 20 am at the Palace Hall and will be attended by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and the president of the Port Authority, Antonio Sevilla.
The working sessions of the convention with which it seeks to strengthen the role of the city as scale cruisers and search for new markets between shipping lines operating during the winter months in the Western Mediterranean, will start on Wednesday, El Batel.
That morning a panel of executives cruise lines will discuss the current situation of tourism and its future cruises in the Mediterranean and in the world;
the key developments in the winter months, demographics and marketing of winter cruises.
Posteriomente line executives and industry experts will discuss how ports and destinations can prepare for winter scales;
seasonal changes;
route planning and navigation;
feasibility and cost of air transport.
Thursday's session will serve to discuss the selection of itineraries and excursions adequacy of winter cruises in both the Mediterranean and the rest of the world.
